May/June Semester Examinations
Looking forward to the May/June semester Unisa has always been there to help with the MyUNISA exam. The official schedule for the May semester exams will be given to candidates on April 15, 2024. If you still don’t have your schedule, please call the Examination Administration Division right away at examinations@unisa.ac.za.
October/November Examinations: A Season of Achievement
October or November The MyUNISA Exam marks the start of a new school year. The official schedule for October exams will be sent out by Unisa through myexams MyUnisa on September 15. During this time, there are also exams for the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (October/November) and the Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing (September).
January/February Examinations: A Fresh Start
The January/February MyUNISA Exam for certain study groups starts with the start of the school year. These tests take place from about January 13th to February 23rd and include the Further Diploma in Education and advanced diplomas in a number of different areas. The last schedule for these tests will be sent out through MyLife email on November 8.
Aegrotat and Special Examinations: Seeking Equitable Solutions
Unforeseen circumstances may warrant aegrotat or special MyUNISA Exam. Unisa provides avenues for candidates facing challenges to request such exams. Key points to note:
- A medical certificate from a licensed doctor is required for egrotat examination requests.

- Online application through myUnisa, accompanied by relevant documentation and the prescribed fee, is essential.
- Late or incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Re-marking: Pursuing Excellence
Unisa supports students aspiring for higher grades through re-marking. To apply for re-marking, you must obtain 35% – 49% or 68% – 74% in a study unit. Here’s what you need to know:
- The application for re-marking, including a prescribed fee, is conducted online via myUnisa.
- External examiners or moderators undertake the re-marking process.
- Mark results are final after re-marking, even if the grade decreases.
- Remarking fees are refundable under specific circumstances.
