PAYMENT METHODS

The total tuition fees due for the module must be paid in full before registration will be allowed.

Payment Process

• Once an application has been reviewed and accepted, a student will receive an admission email containing a link to the student dashboard.
• On the dashboard, a student will see the programme they have been admitted to and the name of the module they need to pay for.
• Click on pay to be routed to the payment gateway (Payfast).
• Enter details and make payment.
• A student will then receive a payment invoice from Payfast.
• A student will then receive an email regarding access to the learning platform.

Module Payment

FPD module fees are paid for as you learn. There is no need for a large upfront payment because you only pay for the modules you are studying per intake.

Annual Fee Increase

FPD increases its fees once a year and students will be notified ahead of the increase.

ACADEMIC DEFERRAL OR WITHDRAWAL

If, due to an emergency, a student wants to step out and defer their studies to a future cohort, the following procedures apply:

• A student is required to submit a written request to defer their studies and provide a letter of motivation.
• If approved, a student will be allowed to continue their studies when the subsequent cohort reaches the last Module in the qualification they have completed.
• A student can only request a deferral once off and on the condition that at least 50% of the qualification has been completed.
• Any subsequent deferrals will be treated as a withdrawal from the programme.
• Any payments made in advance will be held by FPD pending the re-admission of a student to the qualification.

WITHDRAWAL FROM A QUALIFICATION WITH NO INTENTION OF RETURNING

Withdrawal before the start of the qualification:

• Further fees will not apply to students informing FPD of their intentions to withdraw at least 14 days before the start of the first academic module of the qualification.
• The student will be liable for the instalment due should the student not advise FPD of their intention to defer studies within the stated 14 days.

Should a student wish to withdraw from the qualification after the start of the first academic module, the following will apply:

• The student is required to submit written notice of their intent to withdraw and provide a letter of motivation to the Registrar.
• The student who voluntarily withdraws or fails to complete a module as per the provided timetable will not be eligible for a refund, irrespective of their progress or completion status. The withdrawal request must be received 14 days before the start of an academic module, or the student will be deemed as being enrolled and the full fee for the module will be due and payable.

UPFRONT PAYMENTS

Students who have provided upfront payment for the academic year can apply for a pro-rata credit of the fees paid. This will consist of the balance due to the student after the deduction of fees due and any resources provided by FPD.
